Where are the cocktail fans?
The alleyways of St.Gallen hide a world full of aromas and flavors. Each bar tells its own story and entices with unique cocktail creations.
Lunaris
Small and fine: at Lunaris Bar, you can immerse yourself in the world of cocktail dreams. Head bartender Andrea Boneba always manages to enchant guests, not only with an impressive selection of drinks, but also with his own fascinating creations. There are (almost) no limits to his creativity. New cocktails are regularly added to the Lunaris menu. From the Berry Cooler to the Islay Mule and the Red Sour: many creations bear his signature. The starry sky stretching above the heads of visitors and the open bar provide a unique backdrop for relaxed evenings. In the Lunaris Bar on Augustinergasse, you can enjoy, chill out and relax.
To the workshop
Very close to the market square, enjoyment is combined with experience. If you would like to know how a cocktail is made: In the cocktail workshop (perfect for groups), the bartender shows you step by step how to mix a cocktail. Prefer not to mix your own? Drinks can be sampled at a one-hour cocktail aperitif - accompanied by aperitif snacks.
Le Fumoir
Where there used to be a clothes boutique, cocktails and cigars are now enjoyed. Characterized by its industrial charm and a fascinating selection of over 130 whiskies and 400 other spirits, Le Fumoir Bar sets standards in St.Gallen in many respects. Owner Sergey Keller had long noticed the location on Hinterlauben before the opportunity to acquire it arose by chance. Since 2021, it has combined historical flair with exquisite drinking pleasure - an essential stop for connoisseurs.
SOHO
Inspired by the lively atmosphere of New York's SoHo district, SOHO in St.Gallen is a cozy daytime café during the day. In the evening, it transforms into an elegant cocktail bar with a sophisticated atmosphere and fine drinks. A visit to SOHO on the corner of Löwengasse and Kugelgasse is like a short trip to New York: dark cigar accents, golden liqueur notes and calm piano sounds are reminiscent of an elegant hotel lobby in Manhattan. In addition to a drinks menu with single malt whiskies and ever-changing cocktail creations, SOHO regularly offers live acts. Here you can forget everyday life for a moment.
Einstein Bar
Since 1983, the Einstein Bar has exuded a timeless elegance in British club style. Generations and cultures come together in the bar of the Hotel Einstein. Here, people from St.Gallen clink glasses with people from all over the world and students with professors. It has long since ceased to be just a hotel bar. Both the head bartender Valentin Matter (Best Newcomer of the Year) and the bar itself (Best Hotel Bar in Switzerland) have won awards. In addition to various in-house creations and over 100 whiskeys, the menu also includes a vintage cocktail menu with rarities from the 50s to 70s.
Maverick's
In the heart of the city, driven by the passion of Martin Durot, Maverick's Cocktail Bar was created in 2020. A place where quality and creativity are reflected in every cocktail. With regional ingredients and great attention to detail, Maverick's at Augustinergasse 19 offers a unique experience. The bar is just a stone's throw away from the "Bermuda Triangle". Exciting events such as the "Reading Stage" or "Bring your Flavor" round off the offer. Whether at the bar, on the terrace or in the Green Room (the "living room" in the basement) - the heart beats for enjoyment here.
