News

Where newspaper articles used to be written, cocktails are now mixed. The News Café & Music Bar on Oberer Graben is the perfect place to go at (almost) any time of day: with croissants or a brunch and a newspaper in the morning, regional specialties at lunchtime and fine wines, cocktails and a cold platter in the evening. Many people still recognize the place by the "Tagblatt" sign on the building, which gives it a nostalgic charm. With a large sun terrace and an appealing interior, the News Café & Music Bar is open to anyone looking for a unique ambience. True to the motto "See - and be seen".

Old St.Gallen

The Alt St.Gallen can call itself "the oldest bar (restaurant) in the city". People have been served in Augustinergasse since 1537. The Espresso Martini is particularly popular today. The bar also offers many fine cocktails. The Alt St.Gallen offers a unique flair that combines the old with the new. This creates a cozy living room atmosphere.

Rock Story

In the middle of the "Bermuda Triangle", the heart of a rocker beats. The Rock Story Bar has been a meeting place for rock'n'roll fans, football fans and beer enthusiasts since 2009. And not without reason: the bar has been brewing its own beer in the cellar once a week for several years and FC St.Gallen and other leagues' matches can be watched on three large screens. On Friday and Saturday, all music lovers get their money's worth: the DJs play songs from the past 70 years of rock history as well as brand new songs. The Rock Story Bar in Augustinergasse will also be serving beer and fine drinks.

Jug

Once known as a traditional smokers' pub, the Krug is now a lively local pub. The winning team can be chosen at the "Töggeli box", at cards or many other games. There is even a lamp specially installed by the owner for the "Töggeli tournament". There is also a large selection of beers and food from the neighboring Italian restaurant "Baratella" can be ordered for small or large appetites. A unique feature of the Krug is the "Figurine Day": a club takes over the bar for one night. They design the theme, mix cocktails and ensure a good atmosphere - and earn something for their club's coffers.
