St.Gallen can go out!

Our city has the right bar for every taste - whether Scandinavian, South American or a trip back in time. We recommend the following bars and clubs.

Cult

What began in spring 2022 as a meeting place for friends and acquaintances quickly got around. Today, all generations meet at Kult am Marktplatz - especially young people. The copper bar and the mix of retro and modern furnishings immediately catch the eye. In addition to beer and aperitifs, the menu also includes various cocktails such as the Pornstar Martini. The entertainment program is also varied: karaoke, DJ sets by local and national DJs, game nights and much more - Kult has it all. Especially nice: in summer you can enjoy your drink outside and watch the lively marketplace.

Analog Bar

Sip a cocktail with relish while listening to vinyl music: That's the Analog Bar. Wait a minute! Not quite. The Analog Bar is much more: a café, bar and record store all in one. In Engelgasse, there is a retro journey to accompany the aforementioned cocktail. Here you can only find music on vinyl. And: all LPs and compilations are played through from the first to the last track. In addition to changing cocktails with special twists, the Analog Bar offers everything a bar needs.

ØYA

Bar, café and club in one: the ØYA can do it all. Whether it's brunch in the morning, coffee in the afternoon or a party in the evening. Just a stone's throw from the market square, it scores with its Scandinavian flair. The ØYA was opened in 2011 out of a desire to offer a unique location in St.Gallen. It is still run by the same owners today. It scores particularly well with its regional & Scandinavian beers, the selected cocktail and drinks selection and the homemade food and aperitif platters. With this in mind: Cheers - or in Scandinavian: Skal!

Caliente

Fancy some South American flair? The Caliente on Brühlgasse offers you a trip to Brazil or Peru without having to get on a plane. Although the restaurant is a bar, no one can keep their feet still here. DJs heat things up with Latin music and create a club atmosphere in Caliente. A mojito with Cuban rum or a caipirinha, which originally comes from Brazil, is the perfect accompaniment.

Petrol station

From a real petrol station to a bar: the Tankstell underwent this transformation around the year 2000. It is open every Friday and Saturday. The bar at Teufenerstrasse 75 is the meeting place for anyone who loves electronic music. In addition to local DJs and up-and-coming talent, the bar also hosts international artists. Berlin vibes are included in the Tankstell. Specialties include homemade ginger schnapps, espresso martinis with homemade coffee liqueur and club mate with vodka. When the weather is nice, you can also enjoy your drinks in the cozy garden.

Klub Klain

Since its reopening, Klub Klain has been offering a wide range of music for all fans of electronic sounds. In addition to the regular DJ sets, there are always surprising highlights. The music program covers a broad spectrum: from electronic music to hit parade songs and trash pop to indie rock. There are also occasional concerts on the program. The sound is provided by the new Void system, which ensures first-class sound quality. Klub Klain is open on Fridays and Saturdays and on selected Thursdays from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. and invites night owls in St.Gallen to enjoy the night in the best atmosphere.
