Welcome event "Sankt Hello"
On Wednesday evening, 20 November 2024, the annual welcome event "Sankt Hallo" took place at the Konzert und Theater St.Gallen. Around 500 new residents were warmly welcomed to the city of St.Gallen.
Insights into the city's events
A varied program offered attendees exciting insights into the cultural, sporting and social diversity of their new home: after a welcome address by Mayor Maria Pappa and theater director Jan Henric Bogen, entertainment was provided by a performance by the children's theater dance school, various songs by the band We Are Ava and a film by event organizer Morgan. In addition, interviews with Nayla Stössel (CSIO) and Marisa Wunderlin (FC St.Gallen Women) provided interesting insights into important events in the city.
Getting to know the St.Gallen clubs
A particular highlight of the evening was the opportunity to make contact with 50 local associations, who presented their offerings and helped the new arrivals to make connections. The event was rounded off with a culinary offering that included St.Gallen bratwurst. Vegetarian options were also available. The city of St.Gallen is delighted to welcome its new residents and would like to thank all participants as well as the participating institutions and associations for this successful evening.
