"Friendship is sacred to me."
Alexandra Koch Devos, who everyone just calls Alex, has lived and worked in St.Gallen for seven years. She grew up on Lake Constance. After studying design at the Zurich University of the Arts, she moved back to eastern Switzerland. Mainly because her dearest friends are also at home here. Alex works as a freelance photographer in the food sector. This year she took over an allotment garden and has found a new retreat in the middle of the city. Alex is 31 years old and lives with her 4-year-old son in the St. Otmar quarter. In the following film, Alex takes you on a stroll through her St.Gallen. Let yourself be inspired!

Kafi Otmar
Friday evenings at Kafi Otmar are a fixed point in Alex's agenda. The Kafi is just a few minutes' walk from her apartment. The small, cozy café is located in the St. Otmar district and is open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. She often meets her closest friends there. They enjoy the start of the weekend together.
"I simply feel at home in St.Gallen."

Allotment garden at the Ruckhalde
This year, Alex has an allotment on the Ruckhalde for the first time. She grows vegetables there and finds peace and quiet. She also enjoys interacting with her neighbors.
Alex works as a freelance food photographer, food stylist and recipe author, among other things. This is another reason why she has a very special relationship with food. She works in communications at SENN Development.
