Flowers and blouses: the colorful world of Boutique Notabene
The Notabene boutique is located in the heart of St.Gallen, at Metzgergasse 30. It is more than just a store: it is an oasis of women's fashion. Managing Director Jris Frei and her six dedicated employees offer a warm, inviting atmosphere that attracts customers of all ages.
How the Notabene boutique came about
Around 30 years ago, Vreni Güntzel and a colleague decided to open their own fashion store. The two founders wanted to bring fresh fashion to St.Gallen and discovered an advertisement in the newspaper for this loading area in Metzgergasse. The name Notabene, Latin for "mind you". Vreni Güntzel, the co-founder, still works in the store today and shares her passion for fashion with Ms. Frei, who has been her companion for decades and runs the boutique today.

Give a smile
Jris Frei attaches great importance to ensuring that everyone who enters the boutique is greeted with a smile - be it a customer or the letter carrier. The Notabene boutique is known for its uncomplicated, honest advice and its efforts to offer fashion that is fresh and festive as well as suitable for everyday wear. With sizes ranging from 32 to 48 and a variety of styles sourced directly from the Swabian Alps and other European regions, there is something for every customer.

Social media channels are part of the business concept
Notabene proved to be innovative during the challenging coronavirus period, among other things. On the advice of Jris Frei's children, the team began to use social media to use social media to inspire their customers. With Vreni Güntzel behind the camera and the employees as models, they now bring the latest looks directly into their customers' living rooms.

A unique shop window
The Notabene shop window also deserves a special mention. It is a true work of art and is designed with love and care by Jris Frei's employees. The employees lovingly sow and plant the flowers at home and give them to their boss Jris Frei as a birthday present. The shop window is lovingly decorated year after year.
