Elephant parade on the St.Gallen monastery square
From now on, around 40 colorful elephant sculptures will adorn the Klosterplatz in St.Gallen. The open-air exhibition, which runs until October 27, 2024, draws attention to the endangered population of Asian elephants. Behind the "Elephant Parade Swiss Edition 2024" are the organizers Claudia Knie and Carolina Caroli from the "Events in Motion" agency.
The elephant sculptures were created by international artists and will be sold for the benefit of elephant conservation. The proceeds will be used to create habitats for endangered species. One highlight is the participation of 20 sculptures in the OLMA parade, including a special "Olmafant".
The elephants were photographed by Boris Baldinger. You can find out more about the exhibition here.
