Femi Luna makes songs with soul & is "SRF 3 Best Talent

Source srf.ch - In the restraint lies the magic, in the instrumentation the charm and in the lyrics the stories that come deep from the heart. The 22-year-old singer/songwriter Femi Luna is "SRF 3 Best Talent" and makes songs that touch, that tell of life and that fit perfectly into autumn.

An album - acoustic with bang, that's how Femi Luna describes her debut album "Library". But the boom does not speak (as one might think) for a loud, bulky work - on the contrary: The singer/songwriter spreads in her sound stories that have the breeding ground in her soul. Things that occupy her and things that get her carousel of thoughts going. Because thinking, that's what the 22-year-old does a lot. Or better: questioning.

Her music has heart, brain and a lot of passion. With "Library", the Dutch-born singer presents herself honestly, emotionally and very personally. An openness that suits her well and earns her the title of "SRF 3 Best Talent" in October 2021. She stands out when she makes her idiosyncratic music and wears her heart on her sleeve. This makes her fragile and strong at the same time. The songs have a lot of soul and touch from the first moment.

For Femi Luna, music is an immersion and an elixir of life. Here she is at home with her thoughts and breathes life into them. Here she is an open book and makes it clear that there is much more in all of us if you take a longer look and go on a journey of discovery with the other person. The journey with the album that bears the significant title "Library" (Engl. library), brings you track by track on the right or maybe even on new paths.

Femi Luna has never really sought the limelight. She even wanted to quit music three years ago. A studio visit, eight new songs and good coaxing from her family made her dare to take the step into the public eye, because: She never looked for the stage, she found the stage. The woman from eastern Switzerland now feels comfortable on it, since she has realized that it is a give and take. Or: that she can give people the feeling of being understood with her songs - for her, this is the greatest gift.

Winning a talent competition and with it the appearance at the Schaffhausen festival "Stars In Town" , where she opened the evening for Amy Macdonald, Dabu Fantastic and Bastian Baker, proved her right. And now, too - with the title of "SRF 3 Best Talent", the musician is once again aware that her insecurities and any doubts she might have are misplaced. She does everything exactly right and has probably found her destined place in music.
