Cafe Gschwend is a leading bakery and restaurant in the heart of the city of St.Gallen. It is the only bakery with a bakery in the city center of St.Gallen.
Cafe Gschwend produces high-quality bakery, confectionery, restaurant, café and party service products every day. The loyal clientele is served at five locations in St.Gallen: at Marktplatz, in Rotmonten, in Winkeln, in Abtwil and in Mörschwil and employs around 100 people.

Which products are particularly popular in your store and why?
Our daily freshly prepared take-away offer is very popular. Bircher muesli, fresh salads, sandwiches and filled rolls and of course the lunch menu to go.
What measures are you taking to make the shopping experience in your store more attractive?
We are the last bakery still in production in the center of St.Gallen, and the fresh aroma from the ovens makes us particularly attractive. With workshops and live baking, we are right on trend.
How do you see the future of St.Gallen's city center, what wishes do you have and what challenges do you see?
With the right combination and adaptation to new trends, as well as a positive commitment from the City of St.Gallen, we see an exciting future ahead of us. The biggest challenge is certainly the good accessibility of the city center.
